Airport in Jeddah
One of HOCHTIEF’s most legendary major projects was the hub airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The enclosed property is 105 square kilometers and the installation’s core is made up of four terminals. One of them is the Pilgrims' terminal. Its fascinating pavilion roof is the largest covered space in the world and has already provided shade to millions of pilgrims to Mecca. The turnkey construction of the airport was also at the time the largest order that had ever been awarded to a single construction firm.
