Wind farms on land


Towers with a hub height of around 140 meters are ideal for harnessing wind power in forested areas. To make it cheaper and logistically easier to erect these towers in forests where passage is difficult, HOCHTIEF is developing slipform tower foundations. The benefits of the slipform technique: The compact site setup minimizes disturbance to the surrounding natural environment, the method is tried and tested, it requires only brief crane operation times, it is resistant to poor weather and low temperatures during setup, and it is easy to dismantle.
