Group-wide Procurement Directive lays down rules for supplier and subcontractor management
Successful procurement with positive results for both HOCHTIEF and its clients relies
on close and trust-based cooperation with subcontractors and suppliers. The procurement
of goods and services at HOCHTIEF is regulated in a Group-wide Procurement Directive
which we implement and develop systematically. On the basis of this directive as a
common denominator, the individual Group units have specified comprehensive criteria,
procedures, processes and goals. Given effective networks with subcontractors and
suppliers as well as transparent procurement strategies and organizational structures,
all possibilities for value enhancement and cost reduction can be exploited.
HOCHTIEF's procurement culture is based on clearly defined principles relating to what we expect from our partners and from ourselves. Strict criteria have been defined for selecting partners to ensure that HOCHTIEF only cooperates with subcontractors and suppliers who meet the most exacting standards. Before entering into any working relationship, a comprehensive evaluation is made.
Procurement at HOCHTIEF fosters a procurement culture based on ethical principles. We guarantee our partners confidential treatment of information. By means of special regulations we want to avoid that employees who are involved in procurement decisions face conflicts of interests.
HOCHTIEF actively supports quality and environmental management – both internally and where subcontractors and suppliers are concerned. We are committed to the applicable regulations for quality assurance and environmental protection and also expect our partners to assume personal responsibility for ensuring that the regulations are observed in both fields.
