Main contractor

Unlike the general contractor, the main contractor is not commissioned by the client to undertake all of the work requiring to be performed for a construction project. He is only responsible for certain services – in most cases for the main work involved in the order (e.g. bricklaying, plastering and reinforced concrete tasks), which he can in turn assign in part to subcontractors.
