In the Mathäser cinema and shopping center in Munich, HOCHTIEF is responsible for technical building management. This includes for instance the inspection and maintenance of the escalators. Within the framework of a facility management contract, HOCHTIEF provides similar building management services on a 24 hours a day basis for the Commerzbank service center in Frankfurt am Main, where FM employees are responsible for the operation and repair of technical installations.

In Essen, HOCHTIEF erected the Stern Service Center and the Rellinghaus office complex, two buildings which bear witness to the structural transformation of Germanys Ruhr District. The 25-story Rellinghaus (foreground), completed on a turnkey basis, was handed over in summer 1999.
