Lusail City, Qatar
Our subsidiary HOCHTIEF ViCon is coordinating the use of 3D technologies for one of the world's biggest urban planning projects: the development of the urban center Lusail City. ViCon created a 3D model for the project. In a second step, the model will be expanded to include a schedule for the construction work. The new city on the Gulf coast north of Doha, Qatar's capital, will be home to about200,000 residents and is to be completed by 2020. Ten districts comprising residential areas, shopping streets, leisure facilities, schools, healthcare centers, and two harbors will be built on around37 square kilometers. In addition, specialists from HOCHTIEF Construction are serving as consultants for the realization of the overall project.Europaviertel West, Frankfurt, Germany
The Europaviertel is being built on a roughly 90-hectare site near downtown Frankfurt. The largest section, which covers approximately67 hectares, is being developed by the HOCHTIEF subsidiary aurelis, which also owns the section. HOCHTIEF ViCon created 3D video for the planning, a Flash animation depicting the construction progress, and a Google Earth model. The new district is to be home to3,000 residents, and10,000 people will work there. The plans call for four districts with different profiles that will include residential properties, offices, restaurants, hotels, social facilities, and selected retail shops.Emporio, Hamburg, Germany
The former Unilever headquarters in Hamburg, a protected historic landmark, are being extensively revitalized and expanded by HOCHTIEF Construction. The Emporio project comprises the former Unilever building and a new building that will feature offices, shops, apartments, and a hotel with325 rooms. Streif Baulogistik is supplying construction machinery and equipment for the project, in addition to providing a range of services that include the coordination of the construction site logistics. HOCHTIEF ViCon created a 3D model for the project, among other contributions. -
Koltsovo Airport, Yekaterinburg, Russia
HOCHTIEF AirPort was awarded the contract to perform a feasibility study for Koltsovo Airport's cargo business operations. The analysis for the country's fifth-largest airport will include an air traffic forecast for a 20-year period, the conceptual and functional planning of a cargo terminal, and the corresponding business plan. HOCHTIEF ViCon contributed to the project by creating a 3D visualization of the future cargo area.
