Special featureFirst net-zero energybuilding in the state of Arizona

Built by our US subsidiary Turner, the Colonel Smith Middle School in Fort Huachuca, Arizona, is the first net-zeroenergy building in the state. With features such as photovoltaic panels, it has been generating more energy than it consumes on an annual basis since 2012. In building the 350-student school, Turner implemented an innovative design that supports a project-based learning model, with flexible common and collaboration spaces that facilitate learning both indoors and outdoors. The architecture brings plenty of natural light into the rooms throughout the day.
