Basle railroad station, 1907-1912

Reliability and quality were in demand as long ago as the beginning of the 20th century. That is how HOCHTIEF was awarded the contract to build the "Badischer Bahnhof", the terminal in the Swiss border town of Basle for a German railroad company. HOCHTIEF completed one of the biggest single projects of its day and age for a total sum of 10.5 million Reichsmarks.
The project took five years and represented a major challenged to the company, but the station then became a major railroad intersection between the German Empire and Switzerland.
