The National Getting Started Program
The transition from university to working life is large. That is where our Getting Started Program helps you
to become accustomed and be prepared for your future tasks. The duration of the program usually lasts
18-24 months.
A mentor will be there for you from day one, who more often than not is a skilled technical or management
employee, with extensive experience. Regardless of whether you are interested in a trainee position or
direct entry you can take part in our Getting Started Program.
A substantial part of the program is the job-related workshops in which the idea of networking and information
about the company's current development are prioritised. Along with technical lectures and discussions you can
also expect excursions as well as interesting topics which will assist your future work life.

You probably already know in which sector you want to work. If you are looking for journalistic training or have
just passed the first state law exam, then the next step is an internship. Whatever you are looking for, HOCHTIEF
could be the place for you.
Direct Entry
If you have you successfully completed a degree or an internship and know exactly where your interests lie, then direct
entry is best suited to you. This is where you can quickly take on responsibility once you have completed your induction
period.
As part of our regular introductory events you will, of course, gain an insight into the structure, procedures and operations
at HOCHTIEF. In line with our Getting Started Program you will, in addition, have assistance from a mentor during your
induction period.
Trainee Program
The trainee program is ideal for those who are still not sure of which sector they see themselves working in later despite
theoretical knowledge and practical experience. You are able to get your bearings by spending time in different departments.
The average duration of our trainee program is
18-24 months. As a trainee you are also able to participate in
our Getting Started Program.
Junior Lawyer
"Companies are civil associations of persons, who...." If this sentence beginning is not new to you and you have an interest
in construction and real estate law then apply for an internship as a junior lawyer in our Legal Department. With an above
average to average grade in your final state law exam you can expand your knowledge, which you gained during your studies, in
a legal or elective internship position. This enables you to collaborate on typical company legal department issues or research
a specific legal question.
Journalistic Training
If you are interested in the communication work of a large company, then this is the place to be. We offer an
18 month
journalistic training in the Corporate Communication Department, where you can learn about the whole scope of communication work,
such as press, advertising/PR and publications.
