Building Information System

Short description:

Access to information on a building is decisive for successful planning, design, construction and operation. If the interactive 4D model is linked with building information of all kinds, a central information model/digital room book can be generated which all project parties can use. In addition to the three-dimensional geometry of the building, the model also comprises 2D drawings, contracts, information on the individual rooms of the building and any other documents.

ViCon provides the software for a building information system and also offers the service of coordinating, administrating and updating the 4D model.

Added value:

For human beholders, the 3D presentation of a building is natural. Navigation through the information on a building can be learnt quickly and easily with the help of a 3D model without any special training being required. All project parties, including the client and the investor, are provided with the data directly and graphically. Owing to the regular integration of planning/design changes, the 4D model comprises "as-built" information when the project is completed–information that can be used for facility management.
